September 9, 2005- Austin Music Co-op and others help New Orleans Musicians!
Thanks to the TX Music Office, several local groups are organizing relief efforts for musicians from New Orleans. Know of a musician who needs emergency housing due to the hurricane? Please call House Director Matt Meshbane at 512-740-7832 cell. Also, check out:
www.musicares.org or visit www.EnjoyTexasMusic.com for a list of additional organizations offering emergency relief to music industry professionals. The site also includes a list of benefit concerts taking place across the state of Texas to help fund Katrina relief efforts.

- House Director Matt Meshbane makes the Chronicle!
GO MATT!! "The Co-op is undergoing extensive renovation, with one wing being set aside for businesses to set up offices. They need not be explicitly music-related, says Meshbane, though he's talking to the SIMS Foundation about possibly moving in. The residential wings are nearly full, he reports, with co-opers agreeing to work its free Sunday and Wednesday shows as a condition of their lease. "That's all it takes, is people participating," Meshbane says." The Austin Chronicle September 2, 2005

November 24, 2004
- Christmas Party
To herald in the holiday season, we had an Ornament Painting and Tree
Decorating Party at the Co-op. Everyone had fun painting ornaments, eating
wonderful food, listening to Christmas music, getting chair massages, and
making the Co-op into a Christmas wonderland! Please feel free to drop by
anytime and check out the beautiful ornaments painted by your Austin Music
Co-opers and friends!

November 3, 2004 - Halloween
In order to celebrate our first Halloween together, we had a Halloween
Family Fun Fair held just for the kids and a Halloween Spooktacular for the
adults. The Family Fun Fair was a great success. All the children had
fun and many prizes were donated by Half-Price Books and Marie
Callendar's. Fammilies also donated canned food for the Capital Area Food
Bank! The Halloween Spooktacular was just as fun! There were three days of
scares, music, and fun. Tons of people showed up and had a blast. Our
Halloween events got the Austin Music Co-op name out to the community and
generated PR for our organization.

September 21, 2004 - ACL
On September 17 - 19, the Austin Music Co-op was granted one of only a few
non-profit booths at the Austin City Limits Festival. As a result, we
received a good deal of wonderful, positive PR. We had over 70,000 people
walk by our booth each day. We signed up volunteers, received applications
and donations, and of course, had fun! Keep your eye out for the Austin
Music Co-op, because you never know where we'll pop up again!

June 28, 2004- We're Getting Noticed
The past week has been a great week for the Co-op.
From the opening of our doors to the hit launch party we are getting our name out there. Check out a few of the stories that have been hitting the airwaves.

June 9, 2004 - The Austin Music Co-op added a new branch of services to the community by beginning an animal rehabilitation division. Already an animal friendly place of residence with an existing dog and cat wing, the Co-op residents were recently adopted by both a baby opossum and a kitten who found their way into our fold. Talk about enhancing diversity!

June 6, 2004 - Burn The Box Fundraiser
This fantastic event, featuring the art work of BTB founder Andi Scull, drew a crowd of over 200 people and raised much needed money for the Austin Music Co-op. Many generous donations were received for the Co-op, helping us to begin construction on the recording studio this week. View Pictures>>

June 1, 2004 - Pre-Launch Party
After reaching our pre-launch capacity goal and deciding to pull our ad in the Austin Chronicle, the Co-op hosted a bash for the occasion. There are still currently two spots still open because we're holding a slot for Bob Dylan and another just in case those Elvis rumors are true... :)
